My speech: "Idaho's state gem is the star garnet. It can only be found in Idaho and India. When it is polished you can see 4-6 rays shining in the stone. It was adopted as our state gem in 1967."I also was in the Slap Leather dance.

Before going to the program Mary had put a sticker on her shirt. I didn't look at what it said until I chanced a glance at it toward the end of the Idaho program. It said "Wyoming". I smiled.
